And here are the photos from what we did in July...

We met my parents, sister and sister's kiddos for lunch on the way to the lake for a week (they all came into town for the day) and I got to take all the boys back with me. Christopher loves Jason and was so excited he was riding with us that he had to sit next to him in case Jason needed anything.

Christopher and Sophie decided to ride in the kayak together on the 4th while their cousins were napping. (I feel I need to say that the water is usually not this brown, but since we are having a drought, the water is REALLY low and so it doesn't look as pretty in the more shallow areas.)
They were so proud of themselves for riding it all the way to the pier by themselves. They got out and "tied it up" too. And don't worry, I was walking along the dock ready to jump in if needed.

I love these two so much!! Especially when they get along really well.

Just so you know, it's not officially the 4th of July until my dad puts this shirt on. We gave it to him for Father's Day when we were kids and he has worn it every year for about 20 years now. I love him for it. : )

This little guy was my buddy all week. I adore him.
(I adore all my nieces and nephews, but he and I really bonded this week. I loved it.)

Sophie helped my mom give Jason a bath one night and Sophie thought it was hilarious that she make "piggy tails" with his hair.

The "new" Little Rascals together again.

 Ice cream anyone?
My kids have never had this much ice cream, but this is the first time they didn't say "it's too cold!"

Throwing one of MANY paper airplanes that have been made this summer.

Chick-fil-a..... again. : ) We went with "The Khans" after VBS one Friday.
We didn't know it was Cow Appreciation Day. Imagine lunch hour, but twice as bad plus the next closest Chick-fil-a location is being remodeled. But Melissa had made it in with a 5 month old, an adorably crazy 2 year old and "Miss Independent" Sophie to meet me with the rest of the kids so I wasn't about to make her leave.

The kids actually working on their workbooks. Sophie will do these for hours each day. Christopher and I have to fight, he ends up crying, I have to leave the room and THEN he will work on it like it's no big deal. That's why I will never home school.

Sophie made this sign for Christopher one day. I'm not sure he really gets just how much she adores him. But he loved this so much they ran upstairs and taped it to their door.

The kids made me breakfast in bed one morning. Since Christopher can't use the oven or the stove alone, they decided on a PB&J sandwich, cut into a flower, cheesey Pringles and pretzels. Oh and a Diet Coke. I cried it was so sweet. : )

Sophie looking through the window so she can watch the van get a bath.

These two crazy kids crack each other up. Therefore they crack the rest of us up.
Zachary will do anything and everything Sophie does. She thinks that's hilarious.

This handsome man came back from a year in Korea 4 days early just to surprise the kids and I.
I love him so much!!

Christopher has been dying to shave his head like daddy's. Since I wouldn't go that short, Daddy had to do it. But first they had to make this.

And that's it for now. I know July isn't over, but I figure our next journey will be it's own post.

I am WAY behind on posting photos, so I thought I'd do it now. They are packing up our house and I have to sit around all day anyway. I realized that I will never get another chance to do it if I don't do it now. That's enough talking, here's what we did in June....

Figured out we were changing our course for the next few years, and maybe longer, when we decided to switch to flight medicine and not move back to Florida. I found this puzzle in the clearance section at Walmart that same week and it made me smile.

Dressed up like a combination of Ladybug Girl and Pinaklious. If they combined forces they would be called "Sophie."

Had lunch at Chick-fil-a and got ice cream. We are getting our fill of this place. I'm guessing we won't find one in Guam.

Made forts on rainy days and watched movies just because.

 Painted our fingernails. A LOT.

Realized that our little sister CAN be fun sometimes and not always annoying.
(She worships the ground her big brother walks on and it makes me smile because he's pretty awesome.)

Played with a new Fancy Nancy app and learned how to take our picture with her. I love how Sophie looks like she's jealous of Nancy's ensemble, but really she was just doing her "tough" face.

Had supper at Chappy's Deli, just because mommy didn't feel like cooking.

Welcomed a new nephew. We finally get to meet him this week and we can't wait!!

Went to Chick-fil-a for Craft Night and made paper doll (?) daddy's.
Sophie's version of daddy is wearing a pink tank top and high heels. I do NOT know where that came from other than that's what she would like to wear herself. I love how it looks like Christopher's version of Daddy is eating ice cream.

Made many, many, many, many messes.
(this was only half the room)

Lost more teeth. We finally quit wiggling the loose ones because we were afraid he would start to look like a little backwoods boy with his new haircut and missing teeth.

 Slept REALLY hard.

Took the kids bowling. They loved it! We haven't been in forever. We need to go back some more.

I had a date with my little miss priss at her favorite place to eat, Chappy's...

while her brother spent the night with his best friend. I still can't figure out how they both fit on this bed.

Papa John taught Christopher how to cut the grass...

 Sophie did it in style.

Daddy made a book for Sophie and it finally came in the mail.
It is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Had a visit our best friends "from Florida" come and visit us from Texas.
I confuse myself when I say this too. They were our best friends in Florida together, but now they live in Texas and we live in Alabama and they are moving to Ohio and we are moving to Guam. I need to just start calling them "The Ramages." Much less confusing.

Christopher and William acted like they still lived a few houses apart, even though it's been 2 years since we have done that.

Sophie and Reagan hit it off like they were actually old enough to remember each other.

I love nothing more than a van full of friends. : )

 More spending the night...

 More sleeping really hard.

Playing at a local art museum. Of course we'd go on a day when a field trip was coming in.
We didn't stay long.

More meals at Chappy's and more ice cream.
(Seriously, if you are ever in Montgomery, Birmingham or Auburn. You need to find a Chappy's. Kids under 6 eat free with each adult meal and everyone gets free ice cream.)

Had "The Khans" (they are so awesome they need "__" too.) over the same day "The Ramages" left. Can you tell I was starving for adult conversation? And no, the boys are not peeing, that's part of the sprinkler. Not sure what they are aiming for.

We made the kids eat outside so they wouldn't come inside.

And when it got dark and they were finally allowed in the house they raided the pantry for more food. They went through a brand new pack of sandwich meat, among many other things.

Had more ice cream. There was a serious heat wave so, what else are you going to do?

Gave the kids haircuts, sent them out in their underwear to play in the hose to rinse it off and then let them come in and play Wii.

And that my friends pretty much sums up the month of June. The kids also went to VBS, but I don't have any photos of that. I'll be back later with the month of July.
