Ok, I've been thinking about drapes since we moved in last May and I can't seem to figure out what fabric I want to go with. I tend to be a stripe girl, but I don't want stripes this time. And I don't want solid either. I'm trying to step out of basics b/c that's all I ever buy are basics and it's pretty boring. Here are two coordinating fabrics I found the other day (www.sirsfabric.com) and I love them!!! Aren't they fun??? They would work better in my kitchen b/c well, they are a little bright and cheery for a den/living room area. I'll try to post a photo of where I want them to go and some more fabrics choices. Money is also a factor now since we are really trying to follow our new budget. I need to save up for these and well, when you do that you want to make sure you love what you buy!

Also, I desperately want to go here tomorrow. It is the yard sale of the century and I'm going to miss it. Brandon said I could go, but it's 2 hours away and I don't know if I'd even find anything. Ok, I know I'd find something, but I have no where to put anything, don't need any more toys for the kids and I know the things I want the most will be gone first, like a beautiful white twin bed and some wicker chairs. I can't even go to this site b/c it makes me sad knowing I won't be a part of it. To those of you who are going, enjoy and know I'm home with my heart hurting!!!

I have two wonderful things to share. The importance of both of them is great, but well, ok, one is bigger than the other. First of all, my sister and her husband found out yesterday morning that they are having a little girl!!! I am super dooper excited about this b/c she and Sophie will be close in age and have each other to play with. I was the first granddaughter after 5 boys and then another boy came before my sister did. So, family get-togethers were fun, but involved lots of dirt and playing sports. Neither of which I was going to get involved in while wearing my little skirts and dresses. (I was quite prissy back then.) I think Sophie is going to take more after my sister and be a little tomboy, but that's ok. She and Drake play well together, but he is a boy if I've ever seen one and needs to be able to play freely with the other boys and not have to play with Sophie. We are looking forward to July and meeting little Anne Morgan!!

Now, on to another girl I want to brag about, my sister-in-law, Caroline. She is awesome!! She saw my need for a recipe box and with children in tow, she met that need willingly. She told me that a bookstore called Davis Kidd (which I love and have only seen in Nashville) had some cute ones that I might like and that she would go and get one for me if I wanted. Well, through a morning of phone tag and lots of laughs we finally caught up with each other and she told me what the ones they had looked like and who would have thought they had the exact one I found online that I loved. Now, how many people do you know that are willing to go find something that another person needs and remind you, with child in tow, and mail it to them??? Not many. This is one a fraction of what makes her such a wonderful person and I am so grateful that my brother married her! Thanks Caroline!!

I'm trying to find a cute, but not country, recipe box and am having no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Everything I have found, like I said, is either a wood pine or has roosters and gingham corn all over it. Which if you are into that, is perfectly fine, but not everyone is. I did find a clear acrylic one online that would work, but the shipping cost more than the box itself, so I kept looking. And a stainless steel one for about $40. I don't need one that bad! They are harder to find than I thought they would be, so if you ladies have ANY suggestions as to which sites or stores have them (I live in the Destin/Ft. Walton area), please let me know. I've run out of pages in my book and thought this would be a much easier way to organize it all. I look forward to your suggestions! : )

We finally have a walker! Ok, so she's not walking all the time, but she's walking about half the time and as the day goes on she walks more and more. Tonight we pulled out the squeaker shoes Grammie got her for Christmas and she went crazy when she heard the noise they make. It was really cute! I am SOOOOOOOO excited that she's started walking. (She's so heavy!) It's fun to watch her follow her brother around and to see him get excited she's walking on her own.

Yesterday was not the best day we've ever had. I could go on and on, but I'll try to keep it short. Let's just say that I never got out of my pj's until almost 5:00 in the afternoon and the only reason I did was b/c Christopher really wanted us to go on a family walk to see the diggers.

The kids were up by 6:30 and I think it was b/c they couldn't wait to see their daddy. After he left for work was when everything started to fall apart. Since Christopher never napped the day before I knew he was going to have a tough day. I could not seem to wake up for anything, my soda wasn't helping at all. Sophie went down for a nap around 8:30 and I crashed on the couch after setting Christopher up at the computer watching the Disney on Ice video I found. Of course he kept messing up the mouse every time so I had to keep getting up to help him. Then Sophie wakes up. The kids start fighting again and I say it's time to start baking some cookies, thinking that would help. I was wrong. The kids were excited, but then Christopher started melting faster than chocolate chips he was eating. He was grabbing them by the handfuls and Sophie kept falling off her little step stool b/c she was grabbing her chips with both hands.



I take the chips away from C-man, so he finds the little candy bars next to him and eats two of them. I take the next two away from him and he gets so mad he starts hitting me. We quickly go to time out. I know he's truly exhausted so I'm not that mad at him, but he still needs to be punished.

He takes a few licks and says he likes it. Then when I turn my head he puts it in his mouth and bites down.

Don't worry he spit it all out. It was pretty funny!! We put our cookies in the oven and go play until they are ready.

Brandon came home early and just in time b/c C-man wanted to go for a family walk. First they went to dig out back and they had to much fun. Christopher took Sophie for a ride in his tractor.

There was still one excavator working when we got there, which was perfect b/c they kids were so excited to watch it. Sophie actually now has a word for anything digger/truck related and it's "duh" and sounds like she's trying to say "duck." We think that dump is the closest sound she can make right now, but what's funny is everytime she see one in a book or outside she starts shouting, "duh! duh! duh!" and pointing while trying to get Christopher's attention. It's so cute! We ended up having a good evening and put the kids to bed early.

Brandon got home tonight around 6:00, an hour earlier than originally planned, which was perfect b/c it gave him plenty of time to play with the kids. Christopher wouldn't take a nap all day and fell asleep on the way to Destin. Sophie wasn't sure what to think about the man taking her out of her carseat and immediately wanted mommy. It took quite a while to get Christopher to wake up and when he did he was very excited to see who was in front of him. As we were loading his stuff in the van, Sophie started bouncing up and down in her seat shouting, "Daa-yee!!! Daa-yee!!! Daa-yee!!!" It was great! We are glad to have him home and I'll post some of his photos when I get a chance to go through them. The ones he sent me are awesome!!! Welcome home, baby!!!! : )
